Looking Back at 2018 and Looking Forward to 2019
Happy 2019 everyone! As I normally try to do this time of year it’s time take a little retrospective on what’s been done over the last year and what I want to accomplish in the coming year.
Last Year
Last year my goals were:
- Produce 26 new “content” blog posts
- Double my readership. Based on Google Analytics.
- Improve my social media footprint. Specifically, I want to make sure that for every evergreen blog post I create I have a header image and it gets shared on Twitter and Facebook. Hopefully this will improve my social media reach.
- New site look. For reals.
Going through the list this is what happened:
- I produced 46 posts last year 7 of which where monthly link rollups which gives me a grand total of 39 content posts. Finally beat this one.
- This still didn’t happen. I’m not sure why my traffic is still more or less flat but I’ll have to work on this.
- This mostly happened. I didn’t share out every post on social media but it was close
- Also didn’t happen again.
This Year
- Produce 26 new “content” blog posts
- Double my readership. Based on Google Analytics.
- Improve my social media footprint.
- New site look. For reals.
Based on the fact we still have a new baby this year that this will actually be a hard set of goals to accomplish but I’ll do my best to stay on track.
Anything you want to see from us this year? Let us know in the comments.
